Elder Scrolls V in development

It is being reported that Bethesda is currently developing a fifth instalment in its Elder Scrolls series.

Eurogamer claims that the game will be a direct sequel to 2006 console and PC RPG hit Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

It adds that the project has been in development for over two years and that the time between its announcement and release will be far shorter than we have typically been used to from the company.

This source not only confirmed that the game is in current production, but also spoke briefly about the content and that voice acting for the characters in the game is currently happening in the weeks to follow,” the site claims.

The same source confirmed, with official game documents in hand, that this will be the chronological sequel to what happened in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which is the latest game in the now 16-years-old Elder Scrolls saga and by itself one of the better RPGs for PC and consoles.

The sequel to Oblivion is coming, we can hereby confirm without hesitation. It’s been a while since 2006, hasn’t it?”

It’s said that the game is based on new tech that represents a far bigger jump than was seen in the step up from Oblivion to Fallout 3.
