Ну, от игровой продукции с книгой или фильмом в качестве первоисточника, мне кажется, вообще смешно ожидать чего-то хотя бы даже среднего качества, кроме, иногда, более-менее сносной графики... Мне из таковых нравились разве что лотровские Battle for Middle-Earth - да и то, вобщем-то, ничего особенного...

И что ты с ним сделаешь? Тем более, в MS он и так есть. Тебе нужна поддержка шрифтов ОСью, а не они сами. Пуск -> Панель управления -> Язык и региональные стандарты -> вкладка "Языки" -> "Установить поддержку языков с письмом иероглифами", дальше заправляешь диск с операционкой и смотришь, найдется ли там то, что тебе нужно.

"Все кроме игр" для меня это разве что печатание, чтение да просмотр файлов. Интернет, даже, наверное, беспроводной, в предполагаемых мной условиях все равно в большинстве ситуаций будет недоступен. А на батарею в любом случае не стоит полагаться, это уже для совсем экстремальных ситуаций - в среднем, 4-5 часов в обычном режиме и 1.5-2.5 в игровом (хотя с розеткой проблем не должно быть). Таких пока что в широкой продаже вообще нет, кроме, вроде бы, AlienWare M15X с 512 mb 8800 GTX (кстати, интересно, что такого на 5 килодолларов насовали в VAIO VGN-FZ21ZR, если приведенный мной мега-топ поступит в продажу со стоимостью ~ $ 2700), да и зачем такое, если можно взять что-то с 8600 GTM в пределах примерно $ 1100, или даже с GF 7700, как на asus G1.

Мы с Владимиром посоветовались и остановились на мысли, что разумнее будет взять за те же деньги мощный стационарный ПК и возить его в украшенном черепами ржавом пикапе, который следует купить на сдачу. Это почти год моей работы... Скорее, в пределах $1300-1500.

Вобщем, появились планы о возможном приобретении мобильного ПК - для игр, чтения, выхода в интернет и прочих целей из отдаленных от дома точек вроде гостей при их затянувшемся посещении, дач, работы и им подобных мест. Пока что ни к каким вариантам не склоняюсь, разве что обратил внимание на модель ASUS G2 (17", C2D 7700, GF 8600 GTM, 2 x 1024 mb mem, etc), но совсем не понравилось наличие разных фиговин в комплекте, который не включает в себя разве что пятитомник по уходу за клавиатурой в кожаном переплете, та что нужны еще варианты. Привычные "железные" ресурсы с ноутами, насколько я понял, дел стараются в основном не иметь, так что даже особо не знаю, где посмотреть насчет этого. По требованиям - нужно, чтобы хотя бы шел обильно нагруженный графическими модификаторами Morrowind (понимаю, что это довольно расплывчатое требование), и более-менее новые тупые игры вроде третьей готики и обливиона - развлекать себя в отдалении от дома.

Не зальешь ее? Я вот тоже слышал довольно раритные вещи типа Half the Man I Used to Be и Asshole, но есть мнение, что поет их не Nirvana, хотя голос вроде как очень даже Кобейна. WTLO 320 kbps есть на торрентс.ру, весит около 300-350 метров.

Ну, Пугало вообще как-то не воспринимается как опера - я, например, даже не сразу понял, что песни объединены общим сюжетом (хотя во второй части было приблизительно так же) и не воспринимаются как одно целое. Кстати, сюжет обьясняет чрезмерное участие Саммета в опере, т. к. разворачивается вокруг одного человека . Хм, ну так на то он и метал . Впрочем, я тоже заметил. Кстати, последняя работа (Rocket Ride) и предваряющий его EP Superheroes от пафоса более чем далеки.

subj Если кто не знал, Edguy - немецкая melodic power-metal группа в традициях Helloween, сформирована в 1992. Avantasia - метал-опера, сторонний проект лидера Edguy Тобиаса Саммета, выпустившего только что третий альбом проекта - The Scarecrow, помимо самого Саммета в котором принимают участие такие музыканты как Рой Кан, Эрик Сингер, Элис Купер, Михаэль Киске, Аманда Сомервиль, Оливер Хартманн и другие. Собственно, последняя часть Avantasi'и не является продолженим двух первых и представляет довольно концептуальный, сюжетно новый проект. Еще насчет The Scarecrow, кстати. Очень понравилось то, что композиции подходят своим исполнителям и под вокал, и под стиль (особенно понравилась "ужасная" The Toy Master с Купером, который как никто был в своей стихии :ap: ), хотя и слишком многое забрал себе Саммет. В целом, вещь очень любопытна и рекомендуема к ознакомлению лично мной . Хотел приложить линк на торренты, но по ночам они у меня не работают - так что позже.
